A double-fronted home in Surrey Hills, light and open across the rear living and kitchen. The owners had refreshed it well, so our job was to dress it without covering the work they had done.
The Brief
Keep it bright and uncomplicated. Let the renovation be the hero, with furniture that supports rather than competes.
The styling
White swivel chairs and a soft sectional held the living room, with a pale rug to ground it. The kitchen stayed almost bare, one board, one vessel, a little restraint.
The bedrooms were styled for rest, warm whites and a single ochre note, nothing that would date in the photography.
Marble and brass in the bathrooms were left to speak for themselves, dressed only with a folded towel and a sprig of green.
