A large five-bedroom home in Ashburton with an open plan living and a fireplace at its heart. Plenty of space to fill, which is its own kind of challenge.
We anchored the living with a deep linen sofa and a terracotta armchair, a round timber coffee table, and a checkered piece of art to give the room a focal point.
The Brief
Make a big home feel warm and connected, not empty. Every zone needs a reason to be there.
The styling
The dining flowed off the kitchen, oak chairs and a stone-topped table, kept simple so the eye moved easily through the space.
Bedrooms ran warm and quiet, arched bedheads and layered linen, with the bathrooms left to their stone and timber.
